Misty started her Brazilian Jiu Jitsu training in February of 2021 and earned her blue belt from John Toth in December 2022. After moving to Michigan to work for the Federal Aviation Administration, Misty decided to join Jiu Jitsu to stay active and meet new people. Since then she has found a passion for training and competing. Black Belt - Instructor - Chad Teets

Chad started his Brazilian Jiu-Jitsu training in 2010 and earned his black belt in 2022 from Danny Agemy, founder of Detroit Jiu Jitsu. With an excess of 20 years in military service, he has also earned his level 3 Army Combatives Instructor certification. Chad continues to serve the community as a law enforcement officer where he holds an instructor certification through the Effective Fitness Combatives program. Chad’s passion for Brazilian Jiu-Jitsu, beyond the technical and physical aspect, revolves around the friendships and camaraderie he’s found in the gym. Main Competitive Achievements: 2021 NAGA-Gi, Brown Belt (2nd place), Nogi, expert (1st place) 2021 Machado Invitational-Nogi, expert (2nd place) and Open (2nd place)
